  10. BETHESDA, MD -- March 31, 1995 -- Qualitas Dispatch distributes the documents
  11. created by Windows applications to their ultimate recipients quickly and easily.
  12. It is the ideal solution for anyone who sends their documents to multiple
  13. destinations using electronic mail, on-line services, fax or printers.    Qualitas
  14. Dispatch is a utility which acts as the link between the applications that
  15. generate documents and the utilities used to print or transmit them.  It does
  16. not replace existing systems.  Rather, it simplifies and facilitates their use.

  18. Qualitas Dispatch lets users focus on the content and form of the documents they
  19. create, relieving them from being concerned with the logistics of using common
  20. distribution methods.  In a sense, Qualitas Dispatch fills the role of personal
  21. assistant to the PC user by taking care of the often confusing details of
  22. getting documents faxed, printed or submitted to electronic messaging systems.
  23. This document- centric view provides the user with a single, consistent
  24. interface, regardless of the ultimate printing or transmission method used.

  26. As a fully scaleable system, Qualitas Dispatch works well for both SOHO (small
  27. office, home office) users as well as users in a networked environment.  While
  28. the available facilities may differ, both users can benefit from the
  29. streamlining and simplification of the distribution process.

  31. Qualitas Dispatch uses the industry standard Application Programming Interfaces
  32. (APIs) of popular messaging and communications packages to bypass the many steps
  33. ordinarily needed for distributing documents.  Qualitas Dispatch integrates with
  34. electronic messaging systems such as Lotus Notes, cc:Mail, Novell Groupwise and
  35. Microsoft Mail.  Documents can be delivered through dialup on-line services
  36. including CompuServe, MCI Mail and the Internet.  Qualitas Dispatch transmits
  37. faxes using Microsoft At Work Fax included in Windows for Workgroups as well as
  38. Delrina WinFAX Pro.  Additional send modules providing integration with other
  39. software and services will be released in the future.

  41. The heart of Qualitas Dispatch is the Address Book, which can import data from
  42. most popular address books and databases, and can serve as a shared network
  43. resource.  When a user is ready to send a document, Qualitas Dispatch displays a
  44. list of all available recipients from the Address Book.  After the user selects
  45. intended recipients or destinations, Qualitas Dispatch then distributes the
  46. documents to the recipients based on their preferred delivery method.

  48. For example, to send a spreadsheet to a colleague who likes documents sent to
  49. her e-mail address, an overseas representative via the Internet, and a local
  50. accountant via fax, Qualitas Dispatch simply requires checking their names by
  51. pointing and clicking.    Qualitas Dispatch then handles the details of getting
  52. the document actually sent or printed.    A process that previously took several
  53. dozen steps now can be accomplished in a few easy steps.

  55. Also included in Qualitas Dispatch is a Tray area for assembling complex
  56. documents from multiple applications, a viewer to easily view output, and a send
  57. log facility to check on the documents' delivery status.  Distributed documents
  58. can include pre-existing documents as well as arbitrary files.    This allows
  59. inclusion of both source and document image files as well as executables.

  61. For the advanced user or systems administrator, Qualitas Dispatch is easily
  62. customizable and configurable for integration with existing systems and
  63. networks.  Specialized document delivery methods can be created through Visual
  64. Basic-like scripts called Qualitas Dispatch Directors.

  66. Qualitas Dispatch works with Windows 3.1 and 3.11 and Windows for Workgroups
  67. 3.11.  The package is available now for a suggested retail price of $99.95
  68. through retail outlets, mail order and directly from Qualitas.    Qualitas also
